About CBN India
History
Christian Broadcasting Network India is a multimedia company dedicated to reach out to every Indian home with a message of hope through quality television programs. CBN in India began its operation in year 1995 and was incorporated as CBN Multimedia Private Limited under Company’s Act, (1956) at Hyderabad, India in year 2000. Its entry to Indian Television began with a program called ‘Flying House’ in October, 1995 on DD2. Since then CBN has produced and telecast several indigenous programs.
1997 saw a great increase in the level of programming and evoked a tremendous response. First, the serial on the life of Christ, 'Dayasagar', began on DD1. 'Super Book' went on air on DD2, and the international version of the '700 Club' was broadcast six days a week on Home TV, a satellite channel. 'Flying House' continued on various regional languages and terrestrial stations. Currently, CBN is reaching out to people in India who have access to television through programs of various genres like drama, real life stories, music and a children’s show. Produced in various regional languages, five programs are aired every week on some of the major television networks of India.
In 1998 CBN initiated humanitarian activities through a separate wing established as Operation Blessing India. Operation Blessing India (OBI) is committed to provide hope and comfort to the poorest of the poor in India. Since its inception, Operation Blessing India has touched more than one million people by providing medical care, bore-wells and by organizing literacy programs in slum areas.
Purpose
CBN India’s purpose is to reach out to the people of India by touching their hearts and winning them over to the Lord Jesus Christ through the use of the media and through humanitarian interventions.
Vision
Our vision is to prepare the nation of India for the second coming of Christ by presenting the message of the Gospel and bringing people closer to the Lord through humanitarian efforts.

TELEVISION PRODUCTION
CBN India made its entry into Indian Television with a program called the Flying House in October, 1995, on Doordarshan’s DD2 Channel. Since then, the Production arm of CBN India has not looked back, it has produced and telecast several indigenous programs. 1997 saw programs which evoked a tremendous response from the people.
The first serial to go on air was one on the life of Christ called Dayasagar which was telecast on Doordarshan’s DD1. Super Book went on air on DD2 and the international version of the 700 Club - Solutions was broadcast six days a week on Home TV, a satellite channel. Flying House continued on various regional languages and terrestrial stations. Drishtanth a serial based on the life of Christ was telecasted on DD1, the national network. The Production wing employed its first employee in the year 1996. With only 13 staff in 2004, it has made a big leap to a good number at present. Every one of them is committed to use of the gifts and creativity that the Lord Jesus Christ has bestowed upon them for His Kingdom.
CBN’s very own studio situated about 25 kms away from the office was inaugurated in 2000. Having a studio facility helped optimize the quality of the programs and improve on the quality of programs too. The very same year saw the launch of the Tamil weekly programme - Thiruppumunai and One Cubed the music program in English for the youth. In 2001, Drishtanth a serial based on the life of Christ was telecasted on DD1, the national network. Nireekshana the Telugu Weekly show and Ek Nayee Subah, a Hindi program were launched.
Khushi Ki Duniya, the kids program was launched in February 2005 and in September of the same year, the daily show in Hindi Ek Nayee Zindagi was launched.
