Akash Roychowdhury
Akash Roychowdhury came to join CBN India (Delhi) in September 2006 as the host of CBN India’s flagship television program “Ek Nayee Zindagi”. Akash sees this as a continuation of the vision God has given to him to teach the undiluted word of God all over the nation of India as well as in other countries of the world.
Akash comes from a family of staunch Brahmins and met the Lord in an Assemblies of God church in Lucknow on 15th March 1997. Since then he has seen God prove Himself faithful to him. God has seen him through intense persecution and has time and again proved to him that God is a good God. That is the message that burns in Akash’s heart and he is thankful to God that God has given him the opportunity to proclaim to the nation of India that God is a good God.
Carrying that vision Akash worked with Ulf Ekman Ministries, Sweden, in their Word of Life Bible School for five years where the Lord used him in different capacities and helped establish the Bible School in India. Akash also served as an Associate Pastor in Fountain Flow Christian Centre for a period of almost 2 years. And in 2006 God led him to CBN and since then he has been the host of Ek Nayee Zindagi.
Akash’s favourite hobby is to travel. He loves his Royal Enfield Thunderbird and his best times of personal satisfaction have been on his solo long bike rides. Shalita, Askah’s wife, works as an educator in one of the premier educational institutions of Delhi. They have two daughters and as a family do their utmost to live their lives according to 1 Samuel 12:24 “But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart, consider what great things He has done for you.
