Satish Dubey had no qualms about lying at all, he would lie without batting an eye lid. When his wife Deepthi would ask him about his drinking he would go to any lengths to deny it. He would even swear on the Bible and yet tell a lie.
But Satish’s lies couldn’t help him for long. Deepthi soon understood that her husband drank alcohol and was lying all the time. To make matters worse, Satish lost his job and since then every day was a struggle to survive. Both Satish and Deepthi would keep having arguments and finally reached the end of her rope.
Deepthi decided that she would call it quits and it was then that she realized that there was some who could actually help her. She surrendered her situation into the hands of Jesus Christ. While Deepthi kept praying for Satish, he continued with his drinking. One morning he complained of pain in his abdomen which became severe by the minute.
When he was rushed to the hospital the after doctors conducted tests and later confirmed it to be a case of Acute Pancreatitis.
Acute Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas and Satish was afflicted by it due to excessive alcohol abuse. The problem needed immediate medical attention and surgery for extensive infections. Satish’s treatment began right away. However the medicines and the trauma left Satish physically and mentally shattered. When the doctors saw his mental condition they postponed the surgery and advised Deepthi to take him home.
While at home, the members of the church came home to encourage Satish and pray for him. As they prayed Satish remembered all the times he had deceived Jesus and felt an urge to seek forgiveness for all the mistakes he had done. On that same day Satish dedicated his life to Jesus. It was the happiest day in Deepthi’s life. Satish quit his habit of drinking and as time went on he began to read the Bible and have a personal relationship with Jesus. As he grew in his love for Jesus he valued and respected Deepthi for having stood by him through those difficult times.
Finally when the day came for Satish to go in for the operation a miracle happened. After the initial tests were conducted the doctors told Satish that he needn’t undergo any operation.
Years have gone by since Satish Dubey had the attack of Acute Pancreatitis and he continues to be good health. Deepthi is very grateful to Jesus for transforming her husband and restoring their marriage. Today their family is filled with true love, joy and peace in Jesus Christ.
