KHUSHI KI DUNIYA - Weekly Show in Hindi
While most television shows for children are saturated with violence, superheroes, game shows and the like, we at CBN India have an exciting alternative that is fun and interesting, and is based on Christian values and ethics at the same time. Khushi Ki Duniya, meaning ‘world of happiness’ has been a breath of fresh air for both children and parents alike.
Since it was launched on 4th February 2005, this program has been attracting children between the ages of 4 – 14 from across India. Its hosts, Khush, the muppet dog and Didi, take the children on an adventure, learning how things are made in Knowledge Zone, investigating queer scientific facts in Dr. Khoj, expanding their creativity in the arts and crafts segment and also learning dos and don’ts in the fun Zara Sambhal Ke segment. More importantly, the children hear a story with a moral value every week on the show.
JAM CLUB
The Jesus And Me Club is a fraternity for children to express their ideas and exhibit their talents. Every child who writes or sends an email to Khushi Ki Duniya is sent a value oriented free comic book and a membership card. The 14900 plus children in the JAM Club also receive Khushi, a quarterly newsletter. The newsletter not only showcases their art and poems, but also carries Bible stories and messages to help them in their day to day life. The Khushi Ki Duniya team responds to the children’s letters with utmost care, encouraging them to do better and supporting them in difficult times.
Khushi Ki Duniya has gained popularity and has even been awarded the Best Children’s Show and the Best Graphics at the Galilean Awards 2007.
The show is currently on air on Hungama TV at 10:30pm on every Thursday & Friday and Nickelodeon TV at 9:00pm on every Saturday.
