THIRUPPUMUNAI - A Weekly Show in Tamil
Thiruppumunai or ‘turning point’ caters to the Tamilian community in India, showing how lives can take a turn for the better, simply by faith in Jesus. This 30 minute magazine format show has been on air since 2000 and reaches out to 23 million viewers every week with the gospel of Christ, thus bringing hope to those who are hurting and in an otherwise hopeless situation.
Much like Nireekshana, each episode handles an issue such as suicide, marriage, sickness, etc. The main segment shows real people with real experiences sharing their struggles and the victories they received by the grace of Jesus Christ. Eminent guests are invited on the show to give their valuable opinions and advice on the show, while the common man is also given a platform to share his thoughts on the subject. OB India and its humanitarian activities is also a part and parcel of this program. Many of our viewers write in for prayer requests or call in for counseling.
There is a specific time for an altar call and prayer which closes with a melodious gospel music video of a popular Tamil artist. Reaching the unreached is the goal of Thiruppumunai, as it touches many lives, gets answers to prayers and follows through as a move of God.
Thiruppumunai currently airs every Saturday at 7.00 pm and Sunday at 8:00 pm on Raj Digital Plus.
